Actor
Ryan Huemmer (he/him/his) is a graduate of Boston University’s School of Theatre. It was there he discovered a love of devising new work, an inexplicable fascination with dissecting Shakespearean text, an obsession with physical theatre and the freedom to express himself through the occasional practical joke. Some of his favorite roles include Joe Pitt (Angels In America), Pisanio (Cymbeline), and Jack (The Importance of Being Earnest).

During college, Ryan uncovered a passion for movement. More so than the words we say, the movements we make (especially now) are inherently relatable and therefore an incredible medium through which we can express ourselves. Ryan became obsessed with unlocking expressive pathways within his body leading him to study various movement disciplines. Ryan is currently in his second year of training at the Actor’s Gymnasium Professional Circus Training Program.
Writer
Ryan also writes things! His most prominent work to date is a One-Man Documentary Theatre piece called Flailing into Happiness composed of interviews personally conducted by Ryan as he traveled across 19 different countries examining cross-cultural differences in the human understanding of happiness.
Amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic, Ryan picked up writing Stand-Up Comedy as both a coping mechanism and a means of artistic expression.
